Year 10 Child Studies students in action

As a part of their Year 10 Child Studies course, MGHS students were required to create an activity to enhance the development of a child. Macarthur Swimming 2018

Swimming Carnival 2018 Due the the renovations of the school pool, this year's carnival was held off site at Epping Aquatic Centre. A small group of competitors attended along with members of the Sports Council who acted as event officials. The swimmers did a great job throughout the day, swimming in a range of events and enjoying the beautiful weather. Sports Council ran the event smoothly and the day was a great success. Ruby Byrne - cricket champ!

Macarthur girl strikes gold!

The Combined High Schools cricket championship, recently held in Richmond, attracted teams from all over NSW. Ruby Byrne, a Year 8 student, had transferred from Westfield Sports HS early this year to MGHS. She, however, stayed in the Sydney South West team as the CHS teams had already been chosen by then. In the championship, Ruby and her team remained undefeated throughout and won convincingly. Ruby is now playing for the Macarthur Girls High School cricket team. All students and parents/carers Due to ongoing congestion and dangerous traffic conditions on Stewart Street, from Monday March 5 onward, the Stewart Street school pedestrian gate will be locked. MGHS rocks Touch Footy!

On Thursday the 22nd of February a selected group of Macarthur Girls ranging from Years 9-12 competed in a touch football knockout against Cammaraygal High School. The ladies have been giving up their lunch times and training hard to perfect their skills and fitness. Cammaraygal came out with a fierce opener, scoring within the first set. A reminder to all students and parents that Stewart Street should not be used as there are roadworks occurring, making this a dangerous street to drop off/pick up students.
